An Installation
In our time, the printed t-shirt has become a possible means to convey a straightforward message to the world about the wearer's identity.

The messages printed on the 6 t-shirts which constitute The Imaginary Order are not necessarily aspects of the viewer's identity that he or she would choose to display. The work consists of the 6 white t-shirts printed in black with words which describe different "dysfunctions". The Imaginary Order addresses the issue of self-perception, in that it challenges the viewer to consider the "dark" side of his or her self-image. The piece is an installation designed for a wall or window space.
